Since 1985, the BC School of Art Therapy has offered both a Post-Bachelor's Diploma and a Post-Master's Certificate in Clinical Art Therapy.

POST BACHELOR AND POST MASTER’S CLINICAL ART THERAPY INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM
This intensive training is offered through directed online theory courses, involving video lectures AND onsite classes with experiential components. Some onsite classes will be an integration of both intensive and regular (local) students.
The program includes theory courses, Studio and Practicum. First Semester:
- Online theory courses begin Sept 2010 and include ATH 558 Child and Adolescent Art Therapy (1.5 units), ATH 562 (1.5 units) Ethics and Applied Psychotherapy (1.5 units).
- Studio Intensive (ATH 505, 1.5 units) begins Sept 13, 2010.
- Practicum I Intensive (ATH 504, 3.0 units) orientation will be Sept 10, 2009. The school will work with Practicum students to set up Practicum sites in their home location.
- Practicum I Supervision begins on Oct 1, 2009. Ongoing supervision is provided on-line via an Internet report with images and telephone conversation, when possible via an Internet communication service such as SKYPE, and also onsite.

Sept 22 & 29 Applied Art Therapy (Core Course) This course will continue online for 11 weeks beginning Oct 6 ending Dec 9.
Sept 25 & 26 Group Art Therapy Facilitation
Sept 27 Working with the Elderly in Art Therapy
Sept 28 & 30 Research and Ethics
Oct 1 Thesis
Oct 2 Workshop (elective)
Hours are 9 am – 4 pm each day with a break for lunch. Students may choose to take electives during this Intensive or may take them in future semesters.
- 2nd Intensive on-campus period will be February 22, 2010 to March 7, 2010. Course offerings will be forthcoming.
