Sunday Family Paint-In
Come and spend time painting with your family at the BC School of Art Therapy. For anyone from 1 to 101. All sessions are supervised.
Time: Sundays from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Dates: February 19, March 4 and 18, April 15 and 29, June 10 and 24.
Cost: By donation.
Two workshops with Tzafi Weinberg:
"Earth Smiles in Flowers" & “Drawing with Objects”

Making flowers from recycled material
This workshop is a celebration of color, shape and texture. This is an eco-art therapy experience of making your
own flower from recycled plastic bottles.
Drawing with Objects
A method of creating art through free association in a playful and non-judgmental
environment. Playing with
the material is about letting intuition guide you. This exercise allows you to unearth emotions, have an
introspective observation, and think about unconscious and conscious subjects.

Introduction to the Art Therapy Profession
This workshop will explore the art therapy profession and the applications of art therapy in the community, including the Open Studio and Artists in Residence models. Furthermore, the workshop will introduce components of the training program, such as the intensive module model for campus and distant students, a description of short courses and electives, and an overview of the BCSAT practicum and thesis programs. It will provide a discussion of admission requirements for the clinical art therapy program and the application procedure. The workshop also includes an art therapy studio session and provides the opportunity to ask questions regarding the structure, theory, practicum and registration requirements of the program.

An Experiential and Art Therapy Approach to
Understanding FASD and Addiction

Participants attending this workshop will learn how to identify clients that may be
struggling with brain differences due to other alcohol related disorders, and strategies and
environmental adaptations that will assist them in their practice.

Sand Tray workshop
Instructor: Linda McLagan
This is a workshop designed to introduce sand-tray work to clinicians already working in the field of mental health who would like to expand their repertoire
ethically and safely into an expressive arts therapies way of working. It is also an appropriate workshop for Art Therapists and Play Therapists.
