Lucille Proulx
Executive Director
Lucille Proulx, M.A., A.T.R., RCAT is a registered
art therapist. She holds a Master's degree in art therapy from
Concordia University in Montreal, Qc. Canada, and has recently been made an Honorary Life Member with the AATQ (Association des Art-Therapeutes du Quebec).
She has 50 years of
experience working with children and parents in the community, private
clinic and dept. of infant and child psychiatry at a Montreal Children’s
hospital. She is the Vice-President on the Board of (CATA) Canadian Art
Therapy Association, and on the Advisory Board of Arts Health
Canada/B.C. She is an instructor at the BCSAT, (KATI) Kutenay Art
therapy Institute and St. Stephen College, U. of Alberta. She conducts
specialized training workshops for professionals and parents nationally
and internationally. She returns from 3 years in Thailand on a CUSO
assignment to establish Art Therapy training in Bangkok. She is
past-president of the Association des Art-Therapeutes du Quebec (AATQ)
and the author of several publications. Her most recent book is
Strengthening Emotional Ties through Parent-Child Dyad Art Therapy,
Jessica Kingsley Publishers, and London, Israel (translated in Hebrew).
She is an exhibiting artist.
Michelle Winkel

Michelle Winkel, M.A., A.T.R., is an art therapist, trained facilitator, and supervisor,
with fifteen years of experience working directly with groups and individuals.
As the Reflective Supervisor at a Local School Agency in California, she co-designed
and implemented a reflective practice program that worked with the Child Protective
Agency and other agencies in the area to improve supervision, performance and morale
of front-line staff. Michelle has also taught Art Therapy at BCSAT and Loyola Marymount
University in Los Angeles, and has served as the Executive Director of BCSAT in 2009-2010.
Since 1999, Michelle has used art therapy with businesses and
organizations in group settings. In these engagements, she incorporates her training and
her skills as an artist as she facilitates group processes.
Michelle’s credentials include a license as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California,
and as a Registered Art Therapist in North America. Michelle received a Master’s Degree in
Clinical Art Therapy from Loyola Marymount University, California. Michelle also held a
fellowship in Infant-Parent Mental Health from Harvard Children’s Hospital from 2004-2005.
Currently she serves on the Board of Directors of BC Families in Transition. She makes art and
tries to connect with other artists as much as possible.

for Human Science Research and Its Relation to Human Service Association. Its
